Our Southampton event will offer 100 delegate training places so that all small charities, wherever they are, can access the skills they need to become self-sustaining. This training day is part of the Small Local Charities and Community Groups Training Programme.

Training sessions cover a wide range of fundraising techniques and back office skills delivered by experienced and knowledgeable trainers.

  • Time: 9.45am – 4.30pm (registration from 9.15am)

Demonstrating Your Impact (Full Day)

An Introduction to Online Fundraising & Crowdfunding (AM Half Day)

The Internet is now used daily by 82% of adults in the UK and online fundraising is continuing to grow as an income channel for charities. This course, delivered by Localgiving, will provide an overview of how charities can raise funds online and break down the key terminology surrounding online fundraising and crowdfunding. Creating and Delivering a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign (PM Half Day)

In the age of social media, project crowdfunding has become a popular way for charitable groups to raise money online. This training will discuss the key terminology around crowdfunding. It will also discuss different strategies groups could use, and help participants create a delivery plan for a successful crowdfunding campaign. Budgets, Management Accounts & Cash Flow Forecasting (AM Half Day)

This module, delivered by Charity Finance Group (CFG) will give a sound basic foundation to equip those who work with finances of small groups and small charities. How to Prepare Your Annual Reports (PM Half Day)

All charities must prepare and submit annual reports and accounts and in the current climate, transparency is key. Based on inspiring case studies from other small charities, this module, delivered by Charity Finance Group (CFG) covers the essentials, from measuring impact, telling your story, and building public trust to preparing for year-end, an audit or independent examination.
