The public funding landscape is changing rapidly and small charities are being forced to re-think their position. This report draws together the experiences of small charities in the procurement and commissioning process. Our key recommendations, highlighted throughout the report, suggest that improvements can be made in each of the areas discussed. The report covers an analysis of the relationship between small charities and commissioners, local authority commissioning, health and social care commissioning, the localism agenda and consortia.
The FSI GRIDLOCK Campaign challenges Local Authority Commissioners and Local MP’s to ‘look local’ suggesting that the right services for local people are probably best delivered by small charities right on their doorstep. Check out the video.
