You will require on of the following:
- a charity registration or Community Interest Company (CIC) number
- a HMRC exemption number
Alternatively, we will consider applications from organisations that can demonstrate:
- That they are recognised by/registered by a governing body for example you hold a Community Amateur Sports Club registration number (CASC) issued by HMRC or
- Have in place a small charity constitution, governing documents and equivalent board of trustees.
You will be required to provide a copy of registration and or charity constitution, on receipt and review of which we will confirm membership.
Access to Services
All staff of a small charity are eligible to access free FSI services, which includes our conferences, training and advice clinics. Please consult our FAQ page for more information on the eligibility of volunteers and interns.
We ask that you consider carefully which training courses you would like to attend: as our courses are very practical, we believe that it is ineffective to attend several courses close together as this does not allow time for you to implement your learning.
We understand that many small charities do not have paid members of staff. If your charity does not have any members of staff, a Trustee may access our learning services.
In exceptional circumstances we are able to make exceptions to the eligibility criteria, however in all instances exceptions must be discussed with the FSI prior to taking up membership or any of the services on offer.
