Meet the Funders – Trusts and Foundations Panel
Trust and foundations are a fundamental fundraising source for charities of all sizes and yet it is often difficult to get feedback to help improve our applications to support future success.
A fundraising panel will be joining us to enable you to ask all of the questions about trust and foundation fundraising that you have always wanted to know.
Nicky Lappin is Research and Information Manager at the Tudor Trust
Nicky has been with the Tudor Trust for 14 years, working directly with applicants and grant holders as well as looking after research and communications for the Trust. Before she worked at Tudor Nicky held various information and advice roles in both large and small UK charities.
Geoff Russell-Jones is Charities and Education Officer at The Leathersellers’ Company
Geoff has been Charities and Education Officer at the Leathersellers’ Company for the past ten years before which he was Grants Officer for the Jack Petchey Foundation. With over 10 years experience of grant making at a senior level, Geoff is extremely passionate about philanthropy and the impact it has on improving peoples’ lives through the community.
Sara Cooney is the Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales Grant Manager for parts of London and Surrey
Sara has over 15 years’ experience working in grant making and community development. Previous roles including working as a senior grant manager at the Heritage Lottery Fund and as Programmes Coordinator at Leaside Regeneration, a social enterprise supporting and delivering social and economic regeneration initiatives in East London.
Deborah Meyer-Lewis is a Funding Manager at the Big Lottery Fund
Deborah manages the Central London area and two Funding Officers. She manages the grant making process through application, assessment and the lifetime of the grant. Prior to working at the Big Lottery Fund Deborah worked for Barnardo’s as a Senior Research and Policy Assistant and as a Project Manager for Only Connect, a criminal justice charity.
