Making Friends with Facebook Fundraising:
Facebook launched its Fundraising Tools in 2017 and since then it has raised over $1 billion. It is fast becoming one of the most accessible forms of online fundraising. From this session you will learn about practical steps your small charity can take to make friends with the available Facebook Fundraising Tools and how you can truly leverage the power of Facebook to your charity’s advantage.
About Lynne Laverty, Centre for ADHD and Autism Support
Lynne joined Centre for ADHD & Autism Support in Sept 2010 as a Family Support Worker and moved into the Director of Autism Services role three months later. Together with her co-Director they have taken the Charity from a turnover of £170K to over £460K over four years.
Lynne has been responsible for Facebook Fundraising since 2017 and with no budget or dedicated staff support has seen the charity raise over £187,000 via Facebook’s fundraising tools in this period.
She is active in the local autism community, sitting on the autism boards in two local authorities, and is a Governor in a Special School. Her passion for supporting autistic individuals comes from being a parent of two autistic young people.
