About Rachel Collinson, Donor Whisperer

Rachel founded the specialist charity web agency, Rechord, in 1999. Between 1999 and 2012 her team created hundreds of different websites and social media applications for non-profits across the globe, including the BBC, ActionAid, Friends of the Earth Europe and Save the Children. She also developed an academic career, lecturing on several different post-graduate degree courses, exhibiting work and presenting research papers in the US, Asia and Europe. She is now known as the Donor Whisperer, and for the last six years has worked as a consultant, helping charities to reach new supporters and persuade them to give or volunteer. She has worked with clients such as the Wildlife Trusts, Which?, Alzheimer’s Society, the Tibet Network, Asthma UK, The Leprosy Mission, Mind, the Stroke Association and ABF The Soldier’s Charity, among many others. She also hates writing about herself in the third person.
