About the session:
This session from GlobalGiving’s UK Executive Director will explore how small charities can translate this year’s digital fundraising trends into opportunities and will include practical tips and examples for small charities to be able to embrace emerging trends in digital fundraising. It will provide you with:
- Key digital fundraising trends to harness for tackling some of 2019’s biggest fundraising challenges
- An opportunity to apply these to your own organisation; and
- Practical tips for you to take advantage of digital giving in 2019
Rachel Smith, GlobalGiving:
Rachel Smith is the Executive Director of GlobalGiving in the UK, the first and largest global crowdfunding community for non-profits. Rachel co-founded GlobalGiving UK ten years ago and leads the organisation to make a genuine and sustained difference in people’s lives. She is passionate about challenging the status quo and exploring new ways of working. Previously, Rachel worked for local government, in retail sector marketing, and as an archaeologist specialising in later prehistory. She holds an MA from Cardiff University in archaeology and a post graduate diploma in management from Birkbeck University. She has been involved in the voluntary sector, with a particular fondness for fundraising, from a very young age—she organized her first fundraising event (a local coffee morning) at age seven!
