On average, two-fifths of adults volunteer formally once a year and a quarter of adults volunteer at least once a month. The value that volunteering adds to the UK economy is in excess of £21.5 billion. For many small charities, volunteers are at the heart of the valuable work that they do. The challenge is in recruiting, supporting and managing these volunteers to ensure a successful volunteering experience, both for the charity and for the volunteer. This course has been designed to help your organisation to maximise the potential of its groups of volunteers.

Major Donor fundraising is the fastest growing area of new income for charities in the UK and internationally. Major Donor fundraising is all about building and nurturing relationships with individuals, so that they want to invest in your organisation and the outcomes that you achieve. Participants will be introduced to an eight-step process in identifying and securing major individual donors: Identify – Research – Plan – Engage – Ask – Close – Thank – Steward. The course is intended to provide an overview of major donor fundraising and provide participants with the tools to start a major donor programme in their small charity.

Training sessions cover a wide range of fundraising techniques and back office skills delivered by experienced and knowledgeable trainers.
