How we partner charities and organisations that tackle social exclusion
The FSI works in the UK and internationally with small to medium sized charities who are dedicated to strengthening local communities, creating opportunities and tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion.
Partnerships provide charities with guidance, skills, tools and resources that enable and enhance their opportunity to build sustainable organisations that provide increased support to those in society they are set up to serve. The FSI understands charities need different levels of support at different times in their lifecycles. The Partnership Model allows all small to medium sized charities the opportunity to develop partnerships that are appropriate to their own organisation taking advantage of as little or as much (FSI resources allowing) support as they need.
Making the most of the website
The FSI site is a gateway for learning and sharing learning. As it grows and develops it is expanding to deliver timely, relevant and innovative information for the Third Sector and those who interact with it. Sign up for email alerts, newsletters and keep an eye out for news and events.
Networking makes the world go round
…So we believe at The FSI. One of the most valuable contributions to ending social exclusion you can make today is to share tips for success and problem solving. The FSI hosts regular networking opportunities to promote co-operative working between organisations which are connected through geography or serve the ‘same interest’ groups. Keep an eye out for events in your area.
Learning, learning, learning
There is only one way to get better at what you do and that is by incorporating new ideas, trying new processes and being determined! To support you The FSI run courses primarily around fundraising to bring new and trusted concepts to the table. Push your boundaries and explore your potential to improve lives. Intensive support and collaboration
The FSI is able to offer by invitation an in-depth level of support to individual organisations which are already involved with us and share our commitments to learning and overcoming social exclusion. Working together The FSI carries out a unique and tailored review of structures, systems and processes and identifies knowledge limitations for each organisation. This information feeds into a long-term strategy that builds a platform for change, income regeneration, sustainability, efficiency and life-long learning and sharing.
The FSI is committed to supporting its Partners in this way for a determined period, with gradual migration away as the organisation finds its feet.
