Acquiring and retaining donors is vital for all charities, Direct Donor Marketing or DDM helps you grow your supporter base and encourage longer term giving and therefore a predictable source of income.
This course has been designed to help you to acquire new supporters, ask existing donors to respond to specific appeals, convert ad-hoc or try-donors to regular givers.
This training course is supported by the Cabinet Office Small Charities Fundraising Training Programme.
The course will suit fundraisers who work both systematically and creatively, it will show you how to manage, segment and develop your supporter database and how to draft the copy and response mechanisms that make up the direct mailings.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand where Direct Donor Marketing fits within a Raised Voluntary Income fixed economy;
- Realise the benefits of investing in a DDM programme within a realistic timeframe;
- Construct mailing components;
- Manage data within best practice guidelines and meeting the Data Protection Act 1998 requirements
- Develop a long term, high return on investment income stream.
