Our First Impact Review
Training Results
Wow what a ‘two weeks’ it’s been for us – we have had two intense trainings last week where we trained 12 charities in ‘Building Your Core Case for Support’. The feedback has been fantastic and already we are seeing the results of the training being put into use; one Chief Executive, who’s staff member came on the training, said the learning from the day and our advice on writing their own Core Case has made them all excited, They have struggled to ‘get their message’ across in a way that is ‘donor friendly’ and they now think they have the structure and language to do so – she’s shown the first draft to her Chairman of Trustees and he thinks its brilliant too.
So we are really pleased because all we really want to do is make life a little easier for you out there and help you to develop your Core Case from which all your other Case Expressions will be written from is, in the long run, a real time saver that does add amazing value to all you do.
This week we spent a day looking at how to Develop Your Donor Base and Engage Donors (specifically from a Major Donor perspective) – again great feedback from the group and again really pleased that you are all finding it so useful.
One thing I’m passionate about is bringing together same interest groups to see if there is any way that we can start informally networking, building trust, agreeing shared agendas, perhaps forming informal or formal alliances or even, after getting to know each other, forming coalitions that can and do have a stronger voice for all.
The FSI is so interested in this sort of initiative that we would be willing to facilitate the groups activities – think about it and if you want to explore drop me an e-mail. Take care – have a great week - Pauline
