Training and Progress So Far

Just reflecting on the training so far in 2008 wow we have had a great time with you guys.  Really enjoyed the Introduction to Major Gifts and Developing Your Core Case for Support and have heard really great things about the Stewardship Course so if you haven’t already been on them get yourself booked on (see comments from those who have already attended).

The FSI is coming to the end of its first year – it has been exhilarating and just a little bit scary – still need to keep the adrenalin pumping through the system.

We have had a few changes along the way lost one found two so all in all working out well…  No really very sorry that Carol is no longer a permanent member of the team but she is firmly planted on the reserves bench dipping in when we need her support so all is well with the world.  We are really excited to have Katherine and Jess in the team now and I’m planning a few changes in the next few months but more about that later.

You know what I have learned over the last 10 months is, never sell yourself short if you aim for the stars then you might just get them.  There have been many times when I have wondered how we were going to get through the challenges we set ourselves but you know we have and we are and even though there are many more mountains to climb I think we have come a long way – I know the Trustees are really pleased with our progress and our founding Patron and the amazing group of people who simply make all of this possible A4e Board and Staff alike continue to support and amaze me with their endless generosity.

It’s a little early – and I know it’s a leap year but look out for March Issue of Professional Fundraiser we have something we want to tell you about…..
