FSI Recognition
Wow – is it really so long since I blogged….mmm need to spend more time on this. Well what’s been happening at the FSI?
We had a great day out at the Shine Conference on the South Bank and presented our 1 hour version of ‘An Introduction to Major Gifts’ quite a struggle to get a whole days training into one hour but we, or should I say Kim, did (I had lost my voice so made a pretty good assistant, although I say so myself). It was great to meet people who were either thinking about setting up a charity or social enterprise or those who were just embarking on the adventure – everyone was really eager to hear about how they might try to secure funding either from donors or investors (the approaches are transferable).
Also, did you see our articles in Professional Fundraiser? If not, click the links below:
It ain’t what you do; it’s the way that you do it.

If you enjoyed reading that why not come on the two day course – yes we do manage to make it a whole 2 days, why, because its just about the most important thing you will do and its worth getting it right and we want to make sure we send you away with all the tools and tips you need to do just that.
Sounds like blowing my own trumpet but this year I was voted 14th in Professional Fundraiser's most influential list – which says little about me but masses about the work we are doing here at The FSI for you guys and the importance of smaller charities in the UK.
Anyway, I hope most of you are taking advantage of fundraising around The FSI 10km and 4km Challenge in Derbyshire – if not Friday (30th May) is the last day you can register an entry – remember its free, you just need to get someone to run it and collect the sponsorship.
