Open Clasp Theatre Company
We work as a catalyst, in partnership with other community groups, running issue based drama workshops with women and girls groups and creating professional theatre bringing participants experiences to life. The theatre is toured to community and mainstream venues across the North East. We use theatre and drama as tools to increase self-esteem and confidence, raise awareness and get people talking.
Mission statement
Open Clasp Theatre Company is passionate about accessing entertaining and challenging theatre and drama inspired by women to communities all over the North East and have been doing so since 1998. Open Clasp's work shines a light on the lived experiences of all women raising understanding of important and often hidden issues through the creation of performances which are relevant, brave and thought provoking.
