Classroom in the Clouds
The aim of Classrooms in the Clouds is to raise funds and material to assist with the education of children in Nepal. We choose projects in villages where for a relatively small amount of money, we can make a big difference in terms of improving facilities and conditions for the community.
We have recently completed our first project, adding two classrooms, 12 new computers and paying for the salaries of two additional teachers.
Our second project is building 8 new classrooms and a toilet block to a school in a more remote region of Nepal. This will allow education to continue to the end of Year 10, instead of ending in Year 7 as it does for a lot of the children currenty

Mission statement
Our mission is to provide affordable, appropriate, accessible and sustainable education to every child in the Solu Khumbu region of Nepal. We want children to be able to continue their education until the end of Year 12. We intend to achieve this by providing the funds to build new classrooms, renovate or rebuild existing school facilities, employ and facilitate the training of new teachers from within the Solu Khumbu region itself, and establishing computer labs for communities that have an electricity supply.
