At the top of everyone’s agenda is the need to become self-sustaining in order to fully focus on their organisations mission. One way of exploring your organisations current social networks is to simply create a ‘funding treasure map’. Starting with those closest to you work out who it is out there who might be interested in helping you achieve your visions and what resources they have available for you. This half day workshop is a chance for delegates to get colourful and realistic about how they will access future support for their charity to ensure sustainability.

The Workshop will cover:

* Identify the steps you and your organisation should take to map out your networks

Events are a ‘resource heavy’ vehicle for fundraising but they play a vital role in putting your organisation on the map. A successful fundraising event will not only raise funds but will raise awareness and bring new supporters and donors into your organisation. Because they are ‘resource heavy’ you need to make sure that they are planned effectively and that they maximise all available opportunities.

The Training Event will cover:

* Why hold an event?

* Event planning: timelines, budgets and risks

* The Event

* Post event activity

This one day course is designed to give delegates background knowledge and basic skills and tools to plan and deliver successful fundraising events and they return to their organisations with a project book started, ready to develop their plan for their next event.

If you are involved in planning and delivering events this course is for you.
