FSI Recognition

Tuesday, 27 May 2008
Wow – is it really so long since I blogged….mmm need to spend more time on this.  Well what’s been happening at the FSI? We had a great day out at the Shine Conference on the South Bank and presented our 1 hour version of ‘An Introduction to Major Gifts’ quite a struggle to get a whole days training into one hour.

Answers to Questions

Tuesday, 06 May 2008

How fantastic is it when you ask for help and advice, and actually receive it?!

I have just had such a fantastic day. It was my first mentoring session with the FSI. I’d felt nervous on the train as I had no idea what to expect, but I needn’t have worried; Pauline and Kim are so welcoming and instantly put me at ease. And so, the scholarship began in earnest…

Wow - now that was a 'year that was'!

Wednesday, 02 April 2008
It’s our birthday, I can’t really believe it but it was 12 months today that the FSI, as you know it, came into existence.  It’s been a rollercoaster of a year but we have come through, we have done some things really well and others not so well.  But at the end of it we are all really pleased with where we are, what we are offering and the impact we are making.

Training Results

Friday, 22 February 2008
Wow what a ‘two weeks’ it’s been for us – we have had two intense trainings last week where we trained 12 charities in ‘Building Your Core Case for Support’. The feedback has been fantastic and already we are seeing the results of the training being put into use; one Chief Executive, who’s staff member came on the training, said the learning from the day and our advice on writing their own Core Case has made them all excited, They have struggled to ‘get their message’ across in a way that is ‘donor friendly’ and they now think they have the structure and language to do so.

Thinking of The FSI

Tuesday, 12 February 2008

I got to thinking over the Christmas about lots of things but thought you might not all know how important The FSI is in my life?

I’m passionate about the way my company A4e improves lives and know it will continue to ‘do well by doing good’.

Training and Progress So Far

Tuesday, 12 February 2008

Just reflecting on the training so far in 2008 wow we have had a great time with you guys.  Really enjoyed the Introduction to Major Gifts and Developing Your Core Case for Support and have heard really great things about the Stewardship Course so if you haven’t already been on them get yourself booked on (see comments from those who have already attended).

Keeping You Up to Date

Thursday, 17 January 2008

Am totally embarrassed that I haven’t blogged for so long.  We had a really busy December and January is flying by.  We have a busy schedule for 2008 which is so exciting – look at our calendar of events and see if there is anything there you want to come to.
