Training – Marketing & Communications
The FSI offers, without cost, an extensive programme of learning opportunities tailored to meet the specific needs of small to medium sized not-for-profit organisations. As part of this programme we would like to offer the following training opportunity for up to 14 delegates. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Your Marketing and Communications activity takes your good work to the public; it is the way to ensuring your voice is heard. Without the resources of a large brand or ad agency it is something daunting to think about your charity’s brand, how it is positioned and how best to promote it.
This course will help you understand how the mission and values of your organisation inform your brand, what constitutes this brand and ways of ensuring that your brand is maintained in all your marketing and communications activity. Participants will be equipped with a range of tools to support their marketing and communications activity.
Target Audience
This course will benefit anyone wanting an introduction or refresher on the marketing mix, in order to consider their charity’s brand, how it is positioned and how best to promote it.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Describe the key concepts and models associated with marketing and communications.
Determine and manage their organisation’s brand.
Develop a marketing strategy.
Use a range of off-line and online tools to support their communications activity, including press releases, customer segmentation and social networking.
