Training – Managing Volunteers
The FSI offers, without cost, an extensive programme of learning opportunities tailored to meet the specific needs of small charities. As part of this programme we would like to offer the following training opportunity for up to 14 delegates. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The course has been designed to help your organisation to maximise the potential of its groups of volunteers.
Target Audience
This course will benefit volunteer managers, volunteer coordinators and anyone with a responsibility for developing or overseeing volunteering in their organisation.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Identify and assess a range of volunteering activities that suit the lifestyle needs of different volunteers.
Plan a volunteering programme in their charity, taking into account organisational objectives, fundraising objectives and activities.
Develop effective strategies to recruit new volunteers, and retain, value and motivate existing volunteers.
Manage the legal implications and other risks of involving volunteers in their charity’s activity.

Availability: 14 places which will be allocated on a first come first served basis to employees or volunteers from 100% not-for-profit organisations with a raised voluntary income of less than £1.5 million.
