Training – Building your Core Case for Support
The FSI offers, without cost, an extensive programme of learning opportunities tailored to meet the specific needs of small charities. As part of this programme we would like to offer the following training opportunity for up to 14 delegates. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The importance to your organisation of a clear and concise Case for Support is vital to your success in securing donors. Simply put, telling a compelling story effectively, at the right time and to the right audience will have a huge impact on your ability to engage donors and raise funds to support your organisation.
The course will empower participants to develop an inspiring internal document that creates a uniform message about why they are important as an organisation, how they make a difference and what people can do to support or get involved.
Target Audience
This course will benefit the senior fundraiser within your charity, such as the CEO or the Director/Senior Manager leading the fundraising function.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course participants will be able to:
Describe the purpose and key elements of a Case for Support, and how it fits with other organisational strategies and plans
Identify the different people involved with a Core Case for Support and get buy-in from key individuals.
Build a content plan for their own Case for Support
Develop the Case for Support – building around the content plan.
Use appropriate language and tone, employing plain English strategies.
Communicate their Case for Support in different contexts.
Within this interactive session delegates prepare and deliver presentations to the rest of the group, help each other to deliver their organisation’s best selling points and leave with their Case for Support structure in place, ready to complete when they return to their organisations.
