Just realised I am terrible at this blogging thing – I know it should be easy to get a few minutes to do this every week but as a small charity ourselves time just flies by. I was absorbed in all things Marathon running up to the London 2009 one where we had five runners. Listening to an interview with one of the elite ladies she described how in the Olympic Games she was in 8th place which was only 22 seconds off a medal – 22 seconds sounds like just a little bit more and what a difference.

It got me thinking that small charities strive to make up those minutes every day – desperately squeezing as much as possible into the day – anything ranging from dealing with a difficult HR issue, to doing a bit of impact assessment and even emptying the bins and cleaning the office before you go home – we do it all – so let’s not worry that we can’t find the minutes we need all the time and be happy and productive when we can.
